COUNSELOR IN TRAINING PROGRAM:
The CIT program is designed for young people ages 17 and older, who want the benefit of being a member of the staff, while still being a student at CGST. CITs enroll as Advanced Track campers, but are expected to do a few additional duties and to take on more of a leadership role. They will assist with clean up at the end of camp. They also attend a day and night of the staff orientation week, where they receive some leadership training. CITs have weekly meetings with the Camp Director to discuss potential student concerns and to weigh in on staff decisions.

There is no additional charge for the CIT program, even though they are on campus for an extra day.

Enrollment in the CIT program requires both a student application and a staff application. CITs are not guaranteed work in future summers as a camp counselor, but the training is designed to give these students a leg up for future employment.
